Building on a Hugely Successful Conference
Wow! What a great conference. without exception all the comments I received and heard through the day and afterwards were hugely positive. I hope that others went away with the same motivation and inspiration to action that I did.
Some pics I took on the day:
If you have images/audio/video or other useful stuff from the day, please post it on the forums, or get in touch and we can sort that out out for you.
Where can we best focus the energy and passion that was clearly evident at the conference? There were discussions of think tanks and plenty of ideas for projects were being floated and developed throughout the day.
What was very clear was the huge potential for Transition and Cooperative movements to work together on taking forward shared goals. And by that i don't just mean that the Co-operative Group and Transition Network should be talking together soon at the most senior level, but that co-operatives generally should be talking to and working with Transition initiatives on the ground wherever they may be.
If one thing came across loud and clear from the event that lies at the core of both movements, it was that these massive social movements are being built and sustained by ordinary people working at a local level.
