Workshop leader Steve Smith

A workshop to launch the MASTT ChangeMaker workshop – a new initiative which enables local community reflection and deliberation on issues concerning climate-change & peak-oil, visualise a sustainable local economy, and to make resilience building individual and group pledges.

Based on recent research about psychological barriers to change, ChangeMaker has already been piloted with church groups, school governors, businesses, the Women’s Institute and others. Initial results are very positive – for example St Bartholemew’s church in Marsden has now become a Transition Church.

We will explore the barriers and motivation to change, describe the ChangeMaker approach and demonstrate some of the techniques involved.

Steve is one of the founders of MASTT, and part of the core group.
